Our story began in the heart of the community, where the aroma of breakfast filled the air. Starting as a humble cafe, we’ve grown with our neighbors, adapting our menu to celebrate local flavors. Our buildings history
1940-2004 hoover's deparment store
the very first store was opened in Whitesburg. due to the failure to adapt to the changing consumer landscape, the rise of discount retailers, economic factors, and the birth of online shopping. hoover's struggle to adjust forced them to close their doors.
2015 - 2023 heritage kitchen
this local kitchen served american comfort food and focused on using fresh, local ingredients.
2023 - sakura opens
a japanese restaurant, specializing primarily in hibachi-style grilling, opens in the building. bringing sizzling flavors and a vibrant dining experience to the community.
2024 - a dream was born
with a dream to bring people together, we wanted to create more than just a restaurant. We wanted to build a space where good food and great company feel like home.
2025 - renovations began
construction began, and the building underwent major renovations to bring new life and purpose to the space.
2025 - we opened our doors
with a vision to create a gathering spot, we launched our restaurant, offering delicious breakfast and lunch.
2025 - ribbon cutting ceremony
we celebrated the launch of our dream to bring familiar food at an affordable price in the heart of whitesburg.
